D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine on Tuesday announced his office is filing an antitrust lawsuit against tech giant Amazon, tapping attorneys with the firm Hausfeld for the complaint.

The complaint, to be filed in D.C. Superior Court, alleges Amazon is violating the District of Columbia Antitrust Act. The lawsuit claims the tech giant is artificially inflating prices through agreements with third-party sellers, as a provision in that agreement means sellers who offer their goods at lower prices elsewhere—including their own platforms—can face penalties at Amazon.
