Crowell & Moring is setting no requirement for the number of days its attorneys must be in the office, just as the firm had no requirement pre-pandemic, said chairman Phil Inglima. Flexibility does not mean a decrease in service, he said, in response to news about one bank’s demands for law firm office returns.

Meanwhile, Crowell said it has adjusted its associate pay system, creating two tracks for compensation, including for associates billing 1,900 hours and a higher scale—that is in line with the new market scale—for associates billing 2,000 hours.
