A group of three House Republicans are suing Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other officials over fines imposed for failing to wear masks on the House floor, arguing that a requirement to wear a mask cuts against their right to free speech rather than serving as a safety measure.

Reps. Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Ralph Norman filed the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, targeting Pelosi as well as House Sergeant at Arms William Walker and the House’s Chief Administrative Officer Catherine Szpindor. All three are being sued in their official capacity.
