U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on Thursday tested positive for COVID-19, but has no symptoms, according to an announcement by the court.

As part of the high court’s regular testing protocols, Kavanaugh took the test ahead of the official investiture ceremony in the courtroom today for Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Barrett’s ceremony has been postponed since last October, when she took her seat as a justice, because of the pandemic.
