Lawyers for former Perkins Coie partner Michael Sussmann are seeking more details from Special Counsel John Durham about why he was charged with making a false statement, alleging the initial indictment doesn’t offer enough information to prepare a proper defense.

Sussmann’s attorneys, Sean Berkowitz, Michael Bosworth and Natalie Hardwick Rao of Latham & Watkins, filed a motion for a bill of particulars Wednesday seeking clarity from Durham’s prosecutors about the specific false statement Sussmann allegedly made, and the context behind that statement.
