Covington & Burling has snagged Sandra Douglass Morgan, former chairwoman of Nevada’s Gaming Control Board, who joined the firm Wednesday as counsel in Washington, D.C.

Morgan, who is also a former commissioner of the Nevada Gaming Commission, has almost 20 years of expertise in the gaming industry, where she has led and managed a range of legal matters, including regulatory issues, investigations, cybersecurity and litigation. Her clients are often casinos, game manufacturers, social gaming companies, payments processors and integrated resorts.
