U.S. district judge pick Dale Ho defended his temperament Wednesday as Republicans during a nomination hearing pressed the voting rights advocate on past remarks he made in interviews and on social media. 

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Republican senators asked the Southern District of New York nominee about a 2013 interview in which Ho said he is a “wild-eyed sort of leftist” who is “accused of sometimes seeing racial discrimination everywhere I look.”
