The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on Wednesday lifted a nationwide injunction blocking a Biden administration vaccine mandate for health care workers, though the rule will remain on pause in more than two-dozen states. 

Judges Leslie Southwick, James Graves and Gregg Costa rejected a Louisiana district court judge’s nationwide order that stopped the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid from enforcing its rule but kept the injunction in place in 14 states that sued in the Fifth Circuit.
