Ropes & Gray has a new leader for its 170-attorney office in Washington, D.C. office: Ama Adams, a litigation and enforcement partner who was named office managing partner.

Her appointment, announced this week, means that Ropes & Gray continues to have five women managing partners in the firm’s seven U.S. offices. She succeeds Colleen Conry, who was the Washington managing partner for the past two years and who retired at the end of 2021.
