Intellectual property firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner has tapped Esther Lim as the firm’s first partner and chief diversity and inclusion officer, a role to step up the Am Law 200 firm’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Lim said that in her new role she will devote greater time and emphasis on DEI, an issue she’s thought about throughout her legal career. She will work closely with firm management and the partner-in-charge of diversity, equity and inclusion, a position currently held by Cecilia Sanabria, a partner in Washington, D.C.
