Jones Day has settled a discrimination lawsuit filed against it by one of the firm’s former paralegals, resolving claims that were scheduled to go to mediation later this month.

Fired Haitian paralegal Judy Thomas filed her lawsuit against the firm in 2021, alleging she was given more work than her white colleagues, and demeaned when she didn’t meet deadlines and requested overtime.
