Washington-area firms have continued to be active in the lateral hiring market, with Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer enticing a former partner back from an in-house position, newly formed ArentFox Schiff luring a bankruptcy and restructuring lawyer from Sullivan & Worcester to its New York office, and Bethesda-based Paley Rothman losing a litigator to Haynes and Boone.

Patent litigator Abigail Struthers returned to Arnold & Porter this week after a year as senior intellectual property counsel at Novartis-owned pharmaceutical company Sandoz. Prior to her stint in-house, Struthers had spent 16 years at Arnold & Porter.
