Former Perkins Coie Partner Michael Sussmann must face a false statement charge accusing him of lying about his client representations during a meeting with the FBI about alleged ties between former President Donald Trump and Russia, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Christopher "Casey" Cooper of the District of Columbia denied Sussmann's motion to dismiss the indictment, which was brought by Special Counsel John Durham as part of his investigation into the origins of the FBI's Russia probe in 2016.
