Influential Democratic lawyer Marc Elias detailed Perkins Coie’s work on behalf of the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign as he took the stand Wednesday in the case against his former law firm colleague Michael Sussmann.

Elias testified about Perkins Coie’s billing practices and its flat-fee arrangement with the Clinton campaign as part of the prosecution’s effort to tie Sussmann’s work promoting alleged ties between then-candidate Donald Trump and Russia to the Clinton campaign.
