President Joe Biden on Wednesday nominated Judge Florence Pan to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, while also announcing two other circuit court picks.

Pan has served on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia since Biden nominated her to the bench last year and became the first Asian-American woman on that court when confirmed. Before that, Pan was an associate Judge on the Superior Court for the District of Columbia and a federal prosecutor.
