Some ex-U.S. Supreme Court clerks believe the investigation of a leaked draft abortion opinion likely has turned their former workplace into “a building rife with suspicion.”

The Supreme Court’s marshal is leading the investigation into the leak of Justice Samuel Alito Jr.’s February draft opinion overruling the landmark abortion rights decisions, Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The leak was first reported in May by Politico.
