Former Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro told a federal magistrate judge on Friday that he may proceed pro se in fighting contempt of Congress charges after he was indicted for failing to comply with a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Navarro was indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of contempt, one for refusing to produce documents to the committee and another for failing to sit for a deposition, according to the indictment, which was returned Thursday and unsealed Friday.
