Jeffrey Rosen, the acting attorney general in the final days of the Trump administration, has been invited to testify publicly at the upcoming House select committee hearings on the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to a source close to Rosen.

Rosen and several other former U.S. Justice Department officials have been invited to testify as the select committee publicly lays out the findings of its investigation not only into the riot by supporters of former President Donald Trump, but also broader efforts by Trump and his allies to subvert the vote count. Rosen is consulting with the Justice Department and hopes to respond to the request later this week, the person said.
