The Senate Judiciary Committee deadlocked on President Joe Biden’s nomination of Baker & Hostetler partner Steven Dettelbach to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The committee voted 11-11, meaning Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer must file a discharge motion to move Dettelbach’s nomination to the Senate floor.
