Peter Navarro, a trade adviser to former President Donald Trump, has hired a legal team to defend against contempt of Congress charges after an eventful attempt at representing himself.

Navarro has brought on John Irving, a partner at the corporate environmental firm Earth & Water Law Group and a former senior Environmental Protection Agency Lawyer in the Trump administration, and John Rowley, a veteran white-collar defense lawyer who manages his own practice.
