After three years of will-they-or-won’t-they, the U.S. Supreme Court is going to take a little longer to decide if it should revisit its patent eligibility jurisprudence.

The court took no action Monday on American Axle v. Neapco Holdings, a case that asked whether an automotive drive shaft tuned to reduce vibration is actually an application of a patent-ineligible natural law.
