The floodgates are opening on legal talent from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission wanting to head into private practice, according to industry observers and lateral moves data.

While a certain level of unrest within the SEC’s ranks may partially explain the rising supply of talent, client demand for lawyers versed in SEC-related legal services is more likely the driving force, legal recruitment specialists say.
