An attorney representing the Oath Keepers in an ongoing civil lawsuit related to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol was allowed to withdraw from the case Thursday.

A minute order signed by Judge Amit Mehta of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted Jonathan Moseley’s request to withdraw from the case Thursday. The order requires Moseley to notify the far-right group that failure to retain new counsel may result in default judgement.
