In a new book, published Sept. 13, former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York—and current Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson partner—Geoffrey Berman has claimed that one of his colleagues at SDNY attempted to influence the DOJ for the benefit of then-President Trump.

That colleague—Edward O’Callaghan—is now a Washington-based partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, arriving in April 2020 after serving for two years in the U.S. Department of Justice as a principal associate deputy attorney general and acting deputy attorney general.
