A group hoping to see Texas secede from the United States is suing Meta after the group’s website was blocked from posts on Facebook.

The suit, filed in Texas state court, uses a controversial social media censorship law called House Bill 20 which is currently making its way through the courts with expected resolution at the U.S. Supreme Court. The case stands out as the state’s Attorney General Ken Paxton is currently barred from enforcing it, while private citizens may file claims, though other obstacles could block their success.
