Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has brought on Amanda Allexon from Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, as a partner in its financial institutions practice in Washington, D.C., becoming one of the latest firms to add to its financial institutions team.

Allexon was previously counsel at New York-based Wachtell, where she advised regulated financial institutions and investors on transactional, governance, regulatory and supervisory matters. Prior to her time in private practice, Allexon worked in the legal division of the Federal Reserve Board for nearly a decade, including as senior counsel.
