U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Judge Pauline Newman, who is being investigated by judges on her circuit for allegedly being unfit to serve, is seeking to have complaints against her transferred to a different circuit to handle the judicial misconduct case.

In a letter to Federal Circuit Chief Judge Kimberly Moore, who initiated the complaint against the 95-year-old judge, Newman's attorneys requested that the case be transferred to avoid an appearance of prejudice and uphold "public confidence" in the outcome.
