U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito Jr. is sparking backlash over recent comments suggesting Congress lacks the power to impose new ethics standards on members of his court.
Alito, appointed by President George W. Bush in 2006, made the argument in his latest interview published Friday in the the opinion section of the Wall Street Journal.
