Biden administration officials found to have illegally pressured social media companies to censor "misinformation" about COVID-19 and the election filed an emergency request in the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday to lift an injunction while they pursue their appeal.
In the stay application, U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar stated that a lower court improperly enjoined the officials from influencing the platforms' content moderation decisions.
