Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has hired Michael Mineiro, a space industry executive and former U.S. government official with experience in space law and policy, marking the latest firm to build out its space capabilities in recent months as the commercial space sector explodes.
Mineiro joins Akin as senior counsel in its telecom, media and technology practice from space-based radio frequency data analytics company HawkEye360, where he was senior vice president of legal, regulatory and government affairs.
