Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has hired Avi Perry, the Justice Department official who oversaw market-rigging cases against traders from several global banks such as JPMorgan Chase & Co, as a partner in Washington, D.C., the firm said Monday.

Perry will co-chair both Quinn Emanuel’s securities litigation group, as well as its commodities and derivatives group. In addition, Perry will also be a member of the firm’s investigations, government enforcement and white-collar criminal defense group.
