Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee approved subpoenas Thursday for influential conservatives Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo as part of the panel's ethics probe into the conduct of U.S. Supreme Court justices, though Republicans claim the vote was "illegitimate."
