Plaintiffs boutique Edelson has hired Aaron Colangelo, former chief litigation counsel of the National Resources Defense Council, as a partner in Washington, D.C., as the firm seeks to build its bench in targeted practice areas, including environmental cases.

The Chicago-founded firm also said this week, in a further nod to its growth, that it is expanding its in-house artificial intelligence team with the addition of Nayan Dixit, an AI integration-focused developer, as well as growing its physical footprint with the launch of an office in Los Angeles. The firm, which has more than 50 lawyers in six locations, is also eyeing other potential office locations, such as New York.
