Brown Rudnick, seeking to grow its work for the biotech and pharma industries, has launched a consulting business that the firm says will expand its life sciences team. It’s the latest Am Law 200 firm to start a consulting service, seeking to tap into new streams of revenue for key client sectors.

At Brown Rudnick, the hope is that the consulting offering will “drive a lot of legal work, and the legal firm will drive a lot of consulting work,” said Chris Jeffers, senior vice president of life sciences at the new consulting offering, BR BioAdvisory Services, in an interview.
