Washington’s revolving door between Big Law and the federal government is in full swing this week with Latham & Watkins hiring Jude Volek from the White House Counsel’s office and Kimberly Hamm, once chief counsel to former Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Jay Clayton and House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy, landing at Mayer Brown.

Volek, who most recently served as special assistant and senior associate counsel to President Joe Biden in the White House Counsel’s Office, joins Latham as counsel in the firm’s white collar defense and investigations practice based in Washington, D.C.
