IP lawyer Yuri Eliezer said he doesn't think generative AI will leave lawyers out of work.
However, he noted the laws they write will affect how the courts and the USPTO handle existential questions of how courts handle content created by machines.
While many questions surrounding generative AI are still being litigated, Eliezer said he anticipates some clarity when courts release a wave of hearings and answers on Jan. 26.
