- D.C. firms saw the highest gross revenue increase last year, according to Wells Fargo's Legal Specialty Group year-end survey.
- However, firms headquartered outside of D.C. have grown their attorney numbers in the city in recent years, surpassing some D.C. firms.
As more national law firms expand in Washington, D.C., and grow their regulatory credentials, homegrown law firms in the region are facing stiffer competition to land on the largest investigations and to advise big corporations about government regulations.
