U.S. District Judge Gene E. K. Pratter, who oversaw numerous high-profile cases and was actively handling the Ozempic multidistrict litigation, has died, according to a statement from the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She was 75 years old.

“Judge Pratter was an outstanding jurist whose skills as a trial judge were universally respected. Judge Pratter served the public through her distinguished scholarship, compassion, and diligence. Her passing is a tremendous loss for our court family,” the court’s statement said. “She was a mentor to many.”
