A Syrian national who worked at the Transportation Security Administration may pursue a discrimination and hostile work environment complaint against U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in Alexandria, Virginia, federal court, a judge ruled.

Justin Hakeem, an employee of TSA’s main law enforcement arm from March 2009 to July 2020, alleges that Mayorkas “created a hostile and abusive work environment” and “failed to adequately investigate the harassment and took no effective, immediate or remedial action.”
