Ex-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is seeking to compel the state to pay his legal fees for obtaining evidence in defense of federal complaints alleging he sexually harassed two female state workers during his time leading state government.

State Supreme Court has previously ordered the state to pay for Cuomo’s defense of the lawsuits, but it has apparently balked at his request for it to pay legal fees associated with his effort to obtain certain evidence that Cuomo says would help his defense.
