The U.S. Supreme Court appears ready to reinstate a court order allowing doctors to perform emergency abortions in the state of Idaho, according to a copy of a pending abortion decision mistakenly posted to the court’s website and obtained by the news outlet Bloomberg Wednesday.

In an explosive report, Bloomberg said it had reviewed a copy of the Supreme Court’s yet-to-be released decision in Moyle v. U.S. that had been accidentally posted to the court’s website before being quickly removed. Advance notice of the outcome of pending Supreme Court cases is extremely rare, and the justices’ deliberations are zealously kept secret, though leaks have been known to occur, most recently in another abortion case from 2022.
