Papa John’s, suffering organizational heartburn after both its CEO and its chief operating officer for international left the company earlier this year, is offering a retention bonus to Chief Legal and Risk Officer Caroline Miller Oyler.

The 25-year veteran of the pizza chain has received a retention award in the form of 27,725 shares of stock with a grant value of $1.31 million, Papa John’s said in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing late last week.
