Within days of Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign launching, some corners of Big Law are already organizing, advising and fundraising for the vice president, as Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, lean on their legal community ties.

Harris has maintained a base of support in Big Law since at least her 2020 presidential bid. Lawyers and employees of law firms were one of the top groups bankrolling Democratic presidential candidates in the 2020 primary, including Harris, and that may continue in the 2024 election.
