On Thursday, the National Law Journal spoke with retired U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit Judge Thomas Griffith about his deep distrust of efforts to “reform” the U.S. Supreme Court, whether the legal community has a responsibility to defend the institution and what the justices can do to restore public confidence amid record-low approval numbers.

“I don’t like all the decisions of the Roberts court,” said Griffith, now a lecturer at Harvard Law School and special counsel at Hunton Andrews Kurth.
