The full U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed two of President Joe Biden’s nominees for federal trial court judgeships in Baltimore and Manhattan.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeannette A. Vargas received a 51-43 floor vote to replace retired U.S. District Judge Paul G. Gardephe of the Southern District of New York, while U.S. Magistrate Judge Adam B. Abelson received a 53-43 floor vote to replace retired U.S. District Judge James Kelleher Bredar of the District of Maryland.
