The U.S. Department of Justice has presented potential ways to "prevent and restrain" Google from monopolizing internet search following a federal judge's memorandum opinion finding the tech giant liable.

"The starting point for addressing Google's unlawful conduct is undoing its effects on search distribution," U.S. attorneys wrote in a brief filed Tuesday. "Fully remedying these harms requires not only ending Google's control of distribution today, but also ensuring Google cannot control the distribution of tomorrow."
