The average pay for Am Law 200 partners in the Washington, D.C., market has climbed compared to two years ago—however, not as much as average billing rates in the district, which saw a 31% jump during the same period, according to a new report.

The average pay for Am Law 200 partners, including equity and nonequity partners, in D.C. has reached $1.5 million. That's roughly a 7% increase since the last survey two years ago, when the average partner pay was $1.4 million, according to the latest partner compensation survey from Major, Lindsey & Africa.
