The most straightforward solution for ending Google's alleged internet search monopoly is forcing the tech giant to exit the browser market for five years, U.S. attorneys argued in court briefs filed late Wednesday.

Google’s ownership and control of Chrome and Android "poses a significant challenge to effectuate a remedy" that would undo its alleged monopolization in the general search and search text advertising markets, U.S. attorneys alleged in an executive summary. To restore competition to these markets, "Google must divest Chrome," they said.
