U.S. District Judge Frank Whitney of the Western District of North Carolina plans to take senior status on Dec. 1, according to a list of future vacancies recently updated by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
Whitney, a George W. Bush appointee, notified the White House of his intent to take senior status on Nov. 22.
