President-elect Donald Trump could devastate the U.S. economy if he carries out mass deportations during his second administration, witnesses testified Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
A large-scale removal policy would cost up to $1 trillion and “crash the American economy” with goods and services becoming more expensive, Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, senior fellow at the American Immigration Council, told the committee.
